Financing Your Trip
We at UTSG MEDLIFE believe that every person, regardless of their financial situation, should have the opportunity to volunteer and attend a Service Learning Trip (SLT) with our chapter. Along with the numerous MEDLIFE fundraising methods and scholarship opportunities - including MyMovement, the MEDLIFE Referral Program and the MEDLIFE Scholarship - our chapter offers trip cost reduction and scholarship opportunities as well. Please see below for the various ways you can reduce trip costs, and contact us if you have any questions or concerns about funding your trip!
MyMovement Campaign
At MEDLIFE, we want to make it easy for you to go on a trip and get the most out of your experience. MyMovement (previously called 95:5) campaign allows you to increase your impact with MEDLIFE. It is a fundraising tool similar to Go Fund Me that allows friends and family members to make donations towards the volunteer fee for your trip. After registering for a SLT, you can customize your MyMovement page on MEDLIFE's website and share the link with others to inspire people to donate. |
MEDLIFE Movement Scholarship (need-based)The MEDLIFE Scholarship allows active chapter members with financial needs to receive a $400 voucher that can be applied to a SLT donation goal. A limited number of scholarships are awarded, and the applications are essay-based. Applications are now closed, but will open up again for the 2020-2021 academic year. Please contact us if you are interested in applying!

MEDLIFE Referral ProgramDo you know a student from a school that does not currently have an existing MEDLIFE chapter? If so, recruit them to attend a MEDLIFE trip and receive $100 off the SLT donation goal for BOTH you and your friend! All you have to do is fill out the form on the Refer a MEDLIFEr page.
Note: Both you and your referred friend must travel on a trip within the same academic year. |
