Welcome to the UTSG MEDLIFE Chapter! MEDLIFE is a non-profit organization that partners with low-income communities in Latin America and Africa to improve access to Medicine, Education, and community Development (MED). MEDLIFE partners with leaders in impoverished communities in Peru, Ecuador, Tanzania, and Nicaragua.
As a student chapter, we aim to motivate undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Toronto to provide essential support to MEDLIFE. We host fundraisers to provide support for MEDLIFE Fund Projects, increase student participation on Service Learning Trips to support the Mobile Clinics and community development projects, and hold informational seminars. Students who participate in our local chapter and Service Learning Trips can become further involved via many leadership roles in the organization, including as a member of the UTSG MEDLIFE Executive Team, the Student Advisory Board, and the MEDLIFE internship program in Latin America. |
